Solution in a Nutshell

I had this jar used in the pom.xml addition to the spring-boot-starter-mail

<dependency>
    <groupId>com.sun.mail</groupId>
    <artifactId>javax.mail</artifactId>
    <version>1.6.0</version>
</dependency>

I removed this javax.mail jar from the pom.xml and made the project rebuild and it worked fine
