Solution in a Nutshell

Solution 1:

if(myStr != null && !myStr.isEmpty())

you should use the trim() method to ignore whitespace myStr.trim().isEmpty()

Solution 2:

myStr != null && myStr.length() != 0

There is a new method available in java 11

String#isBlank

We can check like below

if(!myStr.isBlank()) //return true if not empty
