To get the path, you can use the following:

Example URL: http://example.com/smash?foo=bar&number=0 

To get the path of the current URL

var pathname = window.location.pathname; // Returns path only (/smash)

To get a full URL with parameters

var url      = window.location.href;     http://example.com/smash?foo=bar&number=0 

Return the base domain 

var origin   = window.location.origin;   // Returns base URL (https://example.com)

If you are interested only in jQuery see the following solution, but this is NOT RECOMMENDED solution

$(location).attr('href');

By combining these two we will get the URL without parameters;

console.log(window.location.origin+window.location.pathname);
