What is the RTA Hazard Perception Test?
The Hazard Perception Test is part of the RTA theory test conducted by the RTA in UAE. This is applicable to All emirates including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ajman.
This measures how you can recognize and act on the potentially hazardous (dangerous) conditions on the road. It is designed to assess a driver's ability to anticipate and respond to potential hazards on the road.
During the test, a series of video clips are shown, each depicting a range of driving scenarios, such as driving on a busy street or approaching a junction. The test taker must watch the clip and identify any potential hazards that may require them to take action, such as slowing down, changing lanes, or stopping.
The test is typically timed, and the test taker is awarded points for correctly identifying hazards within a certain time frame. The purpose of the test is to ensure that drivers have the necessary skills to identify and respond to hazards on the road, which is essential for safe driving.
